About Me

A Little Background on Me…

My name is Lindsey Morse and I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in both Dietetics and Food Science/Food Systems Administration from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA with my fiancé and his adorable black lab, Maddux! I work as a Clinical Dietitian at Piedmont Atlanta Hopsital on the gastrointestinal unit.

I have a huge passion for living a healthy lifestyle, and I love exploring ways to make eating healthy foods simple and delicious! My main focus is to inspire others to eat more nutritious, balanced meals to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves. I truly believe that the diet directly affects how you feel and your overall health, mentally and physically.

I have also developed a passion for exploring the many health benefits of different foods, and educating others about how to incorporate them into the diet. Promoting nutrition and the purpose of a healthy diet and lifestyle to others has become such a hobby for me. I strongly believe that nutrition can be a key to treating and preventing disease and chronic health problems. I believe that adopting a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise can create healthier and happier lives.

How I Started My Blog…

“Happilyyhealthy” began simply as an personal outlet for me to share my love of healthy food and cooking through photographs on social media. Food photography then become a hobby and I became more interested in creating unique, yet easy nutritious recipes to share with others. I wanted to show the public that eating healthy didn’t have to be difficult or viewed as unappetizing. I quickly began connecting with other individuals who shared my same interests of food photography and blogging about nutrition. I established collaborative relationships with other dietetics students, nutrition professionals and food companies.

My blog now has expanded from solely Instagram to this website where I am able to share the full recipes to the meals that I photograph. I continue to develop easy, nutritious meals to share, as well as expanding on the nutrition benefits of the ingredients I use. I use this space as a tool to educate others about the importance of cooking and how to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and plant-based proteins into the diet. I make sure to operate this blog within the Scope of Practice for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. All of the nutrition topics and tips shared are delivered upon evidenced-based information. My goal of this blog is to engage, enthuse and motivate others towards healthy eating and to educate them on the importance of nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle.
